Its hard to imagine that any wine region in the world has progressed as far as Sicily over the past 15 to 20 years.

Emerging from a history of somewhat bland, mass produced wines and a focus on quantity over quality, Sicily is now measured by quality and diversity.

And it is not only the small producers getting all the recognition as wines from many cooperatives continue to improve.

Cantina Corbera offers a range of high quality, affordable Sicilian wines with distinctive regional and varietal character.

Based in Valle del Belice in south western Sicily, numerous growers across three provinces [Agrigento, Palermo and Trapani] supply grapes for the Corbera range.

Our selection is limited to two wines only, Grillo and Nero d’Avola, and both over deliver despite their ‘entry level’ price.

Corbera Grillo is loaded with citrus and stone fruit flavours, has lovely texture with soft acidity.

Both the colour and aromas [blackberry / mulberry] of the Corbera Nero d’Avola are enticing, the palate is deeply flavoured and soft with sufficient structure to pair well with a range of red meat dishes.
