Fiorini is made from mostly Sangiovese, with small amounts of Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon. To qualify for Superiore, the grapes must come from the Chianti DOCG – including any of its seven sub zones (Aretini, Fiorentini, Pisane, Senesi, Montalbano, Montespertoli, Rufina), have a minimum alcohol level of 12% and be aged for at least nine months.
