YERING STATION

Yarra Valley, Victoria

Yering Station is simply a sensational property, a ‘must visit’ winery for any person [wine consumer or not] visiting the Yarra Valley approximately one hours drive east of Melbourne.

Yering Station is owned by the Rathbone Wine Group along with Xanadu [Margaret River] and Mt Langi Ghiran [Grampians], all of which produce wines that show a total commitment to quality.

Under winemaker Willie Lunn, Yering Station focuses strongly on varieties suited to this cooler climate with a strong emphasis on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, producing four tiers of each of these varieties. So if you are a fan of ‘Burgundian’ varieties Yering Station pretty much offers a wine at a price point to suit, through to their outstanding and limited reserve range which consistently receive reviews of 96 points and upwards from leading Australian wine writer James Halliday.

Progressing though these wines from the ‘Little Yering’ range upwards is a revelation with increasing layers of flavour and complexity coming with each step.

The Yering Station ‘Village’ range [Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz Viognier] consistently over deliver and are well positioned for on-premise listing, it is increasingly difficult to find quality Pinot Noir in particular at this price.
