Lake Breeze 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

Lake Breeze 2019 Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon :

The epitome of signature Langhorne Creek Cabernet.  The quality of the fruit is evident from the outset.  Its matured for 20 months in French Oak, 40% new, yet this is subservient to the black/blueberry aromas and flavours, some regional dark choc-mint adding a tiny whiff behind.  Everything knits together perfectly and the varietal tannin structures lie in exact tune with the whole.  When it works so well, wines like this just come alive.

Lake Breeze is one of Australia’s most awarded boutique wineries, including being named Australia’s Champion Small Winery, and Halliday Wine Companion’s “Best Value Winery of the Year” 2022.

The Follett family have been grape growers in Langhorne Creek for over 120 years and winemakers for over 30 years and have rapidly built an enviable reputation for consistently producing outstanding wines.

Only the best 40% of fruit is selected from the older vines on the property, to create wines with amazing depth of flavour.

Langhorne Creek has a maritime climate, making it significantly cooler than McLaren Vale and the Barossa. This is partly due to what the locals call the Lake Doctor. The Lake Doctor is a wind coming off Lake Alexandrina, a 600 sq km body of fresh water at the end of the Murray Darling River system.

Lake Breeze has enjoyed enormous success over the past 29 years, accumulating an extraordinary 60 trophies and over 180 gold medals at major Australian wine shows.  Lake Breeze has been awarded the Champion Wine of Langhorne Creek on four occasions

“This is as good a Cabernet as I have ever produced.  You will enjoy it as much in 20 years, as you will today” – Greg Follett
